After previously teaching at Bremer State High School and St Peters Lutheran College, I began at Grace in 1990 taking a part time contract as a PE teacher. Over the years, I have held the positions of classroom teacher, Year 8 Coordinator, Head of Health and Physical Education, Dean of Studies and now Head of Rothwell Campus and Deputy Principal.
My role now revolves around the daily operation of the Rothwell Campus, dealing with many facets of school life including staffing, facilities, timetabling and whole campus events among many others. The students are always my top priority in all of these aspects. In my time at Grace I have taught Physical Education, Health and Physical Education, Social Education and Christian Studies. I am a member of the Australian Council for Health, Physical Education & Recreation (ACHPER) and the Australian Council of Educational Leaders (ACEL).
I completed my initial teacher training at Kelvin Grove College of Advanced Education (now QUT) before further study at QUT and Australian Lutheran College. I have a Diploma of Teaching (Secondary Physical Education), a Bachelor of Education and Master of Education.
I love to travel overseas (the longer haul the better!) and I still play hockey
