Ignite Excellence
Designed to engage and challenge passionate learners, these programs are built to meet the needs of gifted and talented students by providing opportunities to develop the knowledge, skills and motivation required to excel in their area of talent.
Ignite Excellence: Music
This is an excellence program in Music at Grace Lutheran College offering a unique partnership between the curriculum subject and Grace Arts Academy. The program can also offer opportunities for acceleration for some students. As part of the Ignite Music program, students complete three years of specialised classes from yr 7-9, including learning a second instrument, completing a minimum of Australian Music Examination Board Grade 2 Theory of Music and dedicated classes and extension workshops aimed at challenging their individual talents.
Ignite Excellence: Dance Development
Any Year 7, 8 or 9 students attending the College who is interested in extending their dance skills in a supportive environment, whilst also developing a broader understanding of body care, artistry and management skills can apply for the Dance Development Program. Students participating in the opportunity, would also undertake Dance as an elective subject, to extend their choreographic and performance skill development in the classroom.

Grace Arts Academy is a Performing Arts initiative of Grace Lutheran College and operates across a number of locations: Caboolture and Rothwell campuses for Grace Lutheran College students’ in-school programs and our local partner primary schools across the broader Moreton Bay regional community catering for all ages in dance and music, with opportunities to gain a nationally recognised Certificate III in Music Industry. At the Grace Arts Academy, we create a wonderful nurturing community, one that seeks to offer students the opportunity to explore their gifts and talents in a comfortable and caring environment.
