Gordon Rackley
Head of Service and Activities

I began teaching as a Physical a Education teacher, before moving to 'Ironbark' and joining the Lutheran system as an outdoor education teacher, for St.Peter's Lutheran College. After 9 amazing years, I was asked to develop Googa, as inaugural director, for Grace Lutheran College and with my growing family, spent 6 busy years at Blackbutt. My family's school needs led us to relocate to the Moreton Region and I began at Grace Rothwell as Head of Sport. I held this position for 17 years before having the opportunity to explore my passion for service in a role as Head of Service and Activities, before changing staff needs saw the role become Head of Ministry and Service from the start of 2016.

My current role involves coordinating all aspects of the Ministry Team and also encouraging all Grace Community members to be service focused. These two areas reflect the College Mission Statement of preparing young people for a life of faith and service, so that God might be glorified in the world.

I hold academic qualifications from QUT, UQ and ALC. They are a Diploma of Teaching(Secondary Physical Education), a Bachelor of Educational Studies and a Graduate Diploma in Lutheran Theology.

My passions are God and family although I am also keen on sport and travel. I run and ride and enjoy playing with my grandchildren.
